AHV-V TITAN Download PDF Seismic Source Vibrator Raising the bar for broadband vibroseisINOVA’s latest generation vibroseis source vehicle, the AHV-V TITAN, has raised the bar for broadband source performance. Designed to significantly increase low frequency force output while maintaining a broad frequency band performance, TITAN utilizes an increased stroke length and a re-designed hydraulic system to provide almost a doubling of force at low frequencies, compared to conventional vibroseis. The hydraulic system has a faster response and a very stable supply pressure to minimize cavitation to ensure high force at low frequencies and greater stability at high frequencies. Major improvements in the baseplate and airbag design also result in better coupling, reduced harmonic distortion and a more accurate and repeatable source signatureGeophysical BenefitsEnsuring P-wave propagation and high-force energy penetration in a…

STRYDE Download PDF Wired field equipment The world needs high-resolution seismic data to mitigate risks and expedite the transition to a net-zero future. However, progress has been hindered by bulky and expensive seismic equipment. That’s why STRYDE has developed the world’s smallest, lightest, and most cost-effective seismic receiver technology. Our innovative solution features two separate nodal technologies, the STRYDE Node™ and its enhanced version, the STRYDE Node™ Range+. Both are designed to revolutionise seismic data quality while significantly improving the speed and reducing the cost of acquisition in any onshore environment. The STRYDE NodeWith a minimum battery life of 28 days, extendable to 45 days using calendar mode, and 4GB of memory storage, this node is perfectly suited for both conventional and high-density seismic reflection surveys. Its extended operational time, exceptional reliability statistics…

Cables & Accessories Seismic instruments There are seven cables which may be used in the Seismic Instruments Data Acquisition Systems. 1. Line Cable In the 2D and 3D Real Time Data Acquisition Systems, line cables are used between SLIMs, BBUs and the CRU for control, data transmission and power. 2. Line Cable 1 meter - Jumper Cable Short jumper cables may be needed when placing a BBU in the real-time telemetry line. When used, they are placed between the BBU and the adjacent HSLIM. 3. BBU Power Cable The BBU power cable is used for the CRU and the BBU. The loose ends should be connected to a 12 V power source with red to positive and black to negative. 4. HSLIM Power Cable The HSLIM power cable is used…

Battery Booster Unit (BBU)

Battery Booster Unit (BBU)

Production, Seismic instruments
Battery Booster Unit (BBU) Seismic instruments The primary function of the BBU is to convert the 12 V battery power to the 48 V line power. The BBU sends battery voltage and unit temperature information to the Operator Console. The two battery connectors on the BBU allow the hot swapping of batteries without powering down the line. To hot swap, plug in a second battery, wait five seconds and remove the original battery. The BBU contains an integrated line repeater circuit. This circuit allows the use of two line cables between HSLIMs. So the possible distance between the HSLIMs is doubled. The repeater draws power from the 48 V line voltage. Functions: Converts battery voltage from 12 V to 48 V Powers one line cable segment (up to 4 HSLIMs)…
